The Single Line Offset Riser (SLOR™), also known as Free Standing Hybrid Riser (FSHR), is a riser system tensioned via buoyancy can. A flexible jumper ties the riser tower to the floating host vessel which gives the SLOR a dynamic response. The SLOR design is driven by vessel excursion and potential interference with adjacent SLOR for fields which require several risers in a tight formation.
The primary objective of SLOR™ASSURE is to provide operational information on the SLOR and buoyancy can integrity. The key measurements include tension below the buoyancy can and position of the buoyancy can. The basic system can be upgraded to provide additional information as per client requirement.
Benefits:
- Displays buoyancy can tension measurement with limits showing key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Provides displaced buoyancy can position watch circle with respect to the nominal buoyancy can position and distance to vessel attachment
- Ensures the integrity of the SLOR system
