MOORASSURE™ is a cable-free tension monitoring system for mooring lines of FPSOs, semi-submersibles, off loading buoys and spars. The system uses acoustically-linked subsea sensors to measure the inclination of mooring lines. Measurements are transmitted to a topside data acquisition package and incorporated with GPS and vessel draft data to calculate the mean tension for each mooring line.
