Riser Engineering
2H Offshore

Against a background of aging assets and new developments pushing boundaries of technology into ever deeper waters, both operators and regulatory bodies are turning their attention to subsea integrity management. Assurance is required for personal safety, averting unplanned shutdowns, and avoiding environmental damage.

2H has pioneered processes for deep water riser, flowline and subsea equipment integrity management to determine, and manage, risk on behalf of operators, thus intervening before issues develop into incidents. These systems and processes have delivered real value to responsible operators, and have been able to avert potentially significant incidents.

The integrity process is subject to continuous update and improvement, and centers around effective data management which is critical in making informed decisions. Development of integrity management documentation is typically performance or risk based; critical areas are studied to distill the criteria for their problem-free, unusual and potentially hazardous behavior. Cost effective inspection, mitigation and monitoring activities are implemented highlighting anomalous findings which are benchmarked against pre-defined acceptability criteria.

Personnel competence at all stages is essential. 2H offers a unique combination of experience and knowledge in design, analysis and assurance while demonstrating independence to make informed recommendations.
