2H Offshore to Present Drilling Riser Paper at IADC/SPE Drilling Conference 2010

2H Offshore’s Mike Campbell (Vice President of Engineering) and Dhyan Deka (Engineering Specialist) and Michael Tognarelli from BP will present a paper entitled “Drilling Riser VIV – Fact or Fiction?” at this year’s International Association of Drilling Contractors/ Society of Petroleum Engineers Drilling Conference held in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The paper will document the occurrence and implications of drilling riser VIV in the field based on field measurements and will discuss methods to minimize the over conservatism that is currently present in VIV design tools whilst maintaining the required level of safety in accordance with industry design codes and standards.

The paper will be presented by Mike Campbell on Tuesday, February 2nd at 9:30am in the Tubular Session at the Morial Convention Center.
